Hey Guys!

I am close to my dream bike ... A nirve switchblade! I want to apply some mods .. One of it is very special. I want to replace the rear tire with a new one equipped with an electrical hub motor. Problem is, the new tire has a dropout width of 135mm.. Nirve said the switchblade will accept axles of 120mm ... So what to do ... Is it possible to bend the dropouts 15 mm ?

Thanks,

Simon

.. And greetings from Germany ..

Theoretically it's possible, but I've never done this before. So I can't give you a definite advice.

Hast du die Frage schon auf's Tretharley Forum gestellt? Vielleicht gibt's dort noch Tipps.

15MM is almost 5/8'' and people here stretch their frames a lot more than that to run big tires.
I wouldn't think you would have a problem. Just do it easy and don't get carried away bending.
