Help What is this?

Not sure what year this is and should it be a skiptooth? I know it's a Clevland Welding frame but thats all I know :? Any help :?:

From what I can tell, its a Post War probably late 40's early 50's. They didn't use skiptooth much then.

how about badging ? I'm just going to make it a rider with balloon tires, but wondered what these might be badged as?

Roadmaster? That was CWC's brand.

The CWC serial numbers ending in ACw run from about mid 1949 through the end of 1951. The "H" puts your bike toward the end of that period. Most CWC bikes ran inch-pitch chain through 1953 but some were equipped with 1/2" pitch as early as 1941. As noted, Roadmaster was the house badge and brand but they were sold by many different retailers under many different names. Unless the bike has brand specific sheet metal or there is a unique badge ghosted in the paint it is next to impossible to know for certain how the bike was originally badged.

rms37 Thanks for the info I am just trying to make it right. Someone has changed the wheels on it. I will eventually get it powder coated and badged just wondered what was correct :mrgreen:

Well...from here...& at that angle...& by the looks of that frame & forks...I'd say...now correct me if I'm wrong...but I'm pretty sure...No...dang near positive its a... bicycle...LOL...PAPPY 8)
