I’m a little late to the party but here goes. I’ve wanted to build a gasser/dragster inspired bicycle for awhile so when my buddy posted this frame for sale I jumped on it. It’s a 60’s sears space liner with a rat trap fork. My plan was to run a 26x55mm rim with a Gerald slick on the back with a 29er front with a thick slick. Unfortunately the 29 was about a 1/4 inch to tall so i had to switch to a regular 26. Chop shop bars and a tandem mini nana seat. Going to cut the fender brace out of the top and bottom and widen the rear to fit the fat wheel/tire. Started today around 1 to get away from all the madness on tv. Here’s where I got so far. By the way “IKG” stands for I know Gomez.

What are the others called? I would like to see their progress and didn’t see them when I went through the builds.

I love this build! The combination of that pointed nose extension, the correct springer with the flipped rockers, and those cool bratstyle bars, all work aesthetically together in an incredible way! I have always loved this frame design, but it is a middleweight bike that won't hold a wider tire, so there are limitations. But your solution of tire selection is perfect (especially with that front slick) and makes it all fit in those narrow rails! Slam a small seat back and down on that rear tire and you will nail that front-to-back flow line for which I attempt to achieve every one of my builds! Absolutely beautiful! My favorite build so far!

Thank you sir. To make the rear fit I had to cut the bridges out and open the rails up. I’m loving how it’s looking so far..

Well I had some time today to work on the “IKG” tank. Trimmed the excess off and Ruffed it in with dyna-glass. Next I’m going to reinforce the backside with more fiberglass , straighten the seem line and get the final bodywork done..
