Man I guess it's a tool. My bad I posted that in the wrong place. I wondered where all those pictures went. Geez
 
Pedal straightener. Right and left hand threaded 1/2 x 20 TPI lug nuts (old Chrysler) inserted into a 30" piece of pipe.

I made bearing cup press tool, too

I happened upon 3/4 " hdpe and a 5/8" threaded rod.
I cut the plastic with 3" hole saw, then 5/8" spade bit. Big enough to attempt BBs.
Just gonna crank 'er with a wrench

while I was at it I made this head bearing cup extractor. Up to now I just used a cutoff piece of rebar. I just looked at pictures of the tool available from other places and copied it.

It is a piece of three-quarter inch EMT tubing with four slits in it. I also drilled holes at the ends of the slits, before I made the slits.

Then I found a nut and bolt with washers that would fit in the end. I hope this distributes the impact from the hammer, because the EMT is actually not very resistant to hammer hits

I wanted something to keep the press centered, so the cups would go in straight. I slid a couple of fat sockets on the threaded rod to hold stuff in place.

*Made sure in advance that they were small enough to fit through the cups. Big socket, medium socket stuck in the open end, and another big socket, opposite direction of the first

This is a piece of fiberglass tent pole with a slit cut and long emory cloth. Chuck it in a drill and it makes a whip sander for seat post tubes

You can also buy a fiberglass pole for driveway reflectors to make one.

It will clean and polish, but it doesnt remove material. If you need to ream to size or have distortion in a seat post tube, get a 3 stone brake hone.
 
Lol your bearing press looks a lot nicer than mine. I have washers and nuts on a threaded rod. Too embarrassed to post pictures
You have the professional model, I use a hammer and a drift punch for removal and a hammer to instal.. A hammer is what pro shops used in the good old days. Hammer in the hangers and head cups. If you are fussy, and I’m not, use a wood block on the cups but that is totally unnecessary"

Good idea, I use a cheap brake calendar hone. The stones are always wearing out.
 
I know it's not home made but I have an inexpensive dead blow hammer from Harbor freight for installing the bearing races. Works great when you back up the opposite side/end with a block of wood, or lay one side/end on the wooden work bench.

Indented the chainstay easily with an old stem. Taped a piece of 5/16'' scrap from a cut axle inside. Can squeeze in a 20x2.20'' tire. No side deformation. Could go further for a 2.40'' but that will rub the seat stay.

"I shouldn't have used a threaded part to press into the chainstay. It left imprints after clearing the rust...was in a rush. Should use a little larger smooth cylinder with contoured ends next time. .... works and that's what's important."
