Not sure how to mount this with the springer in the way, any suggestions?

You can go to the roofing section of a home center and get a roofing or framing bracket that is metal, sturdy and bendable. I would mount it to the springer's tensioning bolt.

After getting it home and repositioning it I definitely want to mount it at the bottom like this.

Not sure if I should do a bracket from each fork to the mounting bolt or figure something else out

May try that, going to look around at the hardware store and see if I can find anything that will work

A clamp onto the struts mount would be easily fabracated, but not the most eye appealing.

glad you didn't mount it to the springer's tension bolt. the minute you unload the weight on the springer it would be loose enough to come loose, spin around, and possibly damage the light or fork

can someone quote me on what these styles of headlights plug into? I see a good number or remakes and customs with headlights and I really want to put one on mine, but ...power source? thanks all!

I often buy motorcyle, tractor, car, and scooter light from ebay. Invariably, I also buy $10-$15 LED flashlights to light them up. I remove the old bulb and replace it with the flash light which gives great brightness and strobing function as well

I hope these reference shots help. The white light is from a scooter, the chrome light is for a motorcycle, and the black light is from a scooter as well.

They sure do, and thank you for taking the trouble to upload those for me.
I have an Egg Shaped L.E.D. flashlight, little smaller than the palm, I think I'll do a refab with. If I can figure out how to mount its guts inside the shell of my next project.

Thanks again!

Glue or epoxy work well if you can't screw it in. Also, expandable spray foam works well too. Simply carve away what you don't need.

GUH! Spray Foam! Of Course! Thank you, that makes cleanup forseeable, as well as optional tools.. with that method, not much more than a box knife would be needed. and if I decided down the line I didnt like the foam, its relatively easy to scrub off the steel, isnt it?
