Gang,
I bought my prewar Hiawatha without a chain. I'm trying to determine the amount of links I need. I'm figuring 57-58, but does anyone know for sure??

Sounds about right, here's a link for a chain length calculator it's for 1/2 inch pitch but it'll also give you length in inches and links which should be very close. Just double the amount of teeth on chainring and cog since it's skiptooth for the calculator. For "transmission" and chainstay type use the fixed selection. I used 19 inch chainstay length(guessing from pic looks long)but measure center of crank spindle to center of rear hub axle, then used 52/18 for teeth got 56 in/links.
