I dont understand the confusion. Why is anything worth a lot of money? Beause of supply and demand. These cranks are fairly rare, therefore, desireable. Why are old muscle cars so expensive? Same reason. Not a big mystery really...

No confusion here, rare is the back light on an Aerocycle maybe come up once every couple of years fetch a few hun, 3 of the same thing auctioned at the same time is not what I consider rare.

I suppose the thought that the reason there ARE 3 auctions right now, could be because a) the economy sucks, and people need the money, or b) people see what they are selling for, and pull theirs out to try and get in on the action?
