Got this old bike off a farm, no emblems on it, fenders look to be factory "bobbed", any idea what brand and year it mite be?
Thanks

...are those factory fenders?
...it looks like the fork head emblem was diamond shape...
I think it has a racer look to it, specially after I flipped the bars over...

I agree that the fenders don't look quite right. The front looks like it is installed incorrectly and the rear looks like someone bobbed it like you mention. The sprocket is the same as one I have on a Hawthorne but, Hawthornes were built by Cleveland welding (for the most part). I suppose it could be a lesser known brand from a hardware or small department store.

...thing is; I've looked those fenders over real well and there are no extra holes in them, not cut or bobbed from new; they appear to be factory correct. Has anyone seen any others like this?

It does look to have a '42ish Hawthorne chainwheel on it. This has to be one of the coolest women's bikes that I have seen in some time, I don't think that I would change a thing. That rear fender does look to be well done and not just some chop job, however I couldn't imagine marketing a bike with a bobbed fender to the female market. I'd like to see the woman who rode this one, she was probably pretty hot stuff. Cheers

i identify this as cool 8)
id roll that as is, even with the backwards bars
maybe add a flagpole though with the jolly roger hung on it
gahrrr

+1 for it being a hawthorne, probably early to mid 40's. i like it, and as far as the fenders go, i have an early 60's hawthorne girls cruiser i am building for my wife this spring, and i'm finna use shorter or "bobbed" fenders from a westport cuz the oem fenders are shot. cool find and id leave as is.
