I'm not a V-dub guy per se; but this is really, really cool....

I'm not a Chevy guy either, but there's a few exceptions....here's one:

(Look closely at the nameplate)

1992 Toyota 4x4, Forest green metallic. Only I'd take care of it this time. I only got 270,000 miles on it before I hadda park it.

im sure that it is over 100 grand though

i'd also be fine with this mighty fine 1936 el knucklehead

Or Joe Petrali's land speed record bike, again, another 1936 knucklehead.

would also love to have an early knuckle with the "frog eyes"

I'd like to have my '57 Panhead back. Got stolen at Sturgis in 2006. Soft tails are for girls and old men.

People think that the knuckle or pan seats are uncomfortable, the newer bikes seats are like sitting on CINDER BLOCKS.
Back then a bike was made for quality, now it's just for the Harley name.

There is something both horrifying, and fascinating about this monstrosity.
I'd like to know the back story. Or maybe not.
See- I could understand even something like a Rocky Horror Show drag theme bike, or some glam rock glitter project. Not exactly my thing, but I could understand it.
This is just creepy beyond words.

I know I don't have to spend all that money to look like a fool.
Probably he doesn't have the guts to kill him self, and he´s trying suicide by bikers...

Someone should've put him out of our missery who does that really why would you discrace an american legend like that thats worse than Jeff Gordon winning in nascar

It says humility on the tanks for a reason i guess.
But hey you have to respect everyones preferences though.
i have to admit i would buy that but redo the paint and take that crap off the back.
I would Definitely take those rims on their, those are neat.

It's Grayson Perry's bike. And it is - you guessed it - art.

More on Grayson Perry:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grayson_Perry

And more on this particular 'piece of art':

The bike is called the "Kenilworth AM1" and he built it to carry a (removable) shrine housing his childhood teddy bear ("The Tomb of the unknown Craftsman").
He rode it from his home in Essex to the town in Germany, where the teddy bear was once made, and back. He called it the "Mantra Tour" and he did it to raise money for some children's charity. Then he gave the bike to the British Museum, where it is on display since. The ride was also honored by his home town and the town in Germany now being officially 'twinned', so you could say he made history.

For some odd reason, I can relate to such bizarre characters like Greyson. The world would be an even duller place without them (if the dullness of today's world can be topped at all that is).
What I mean by that is that I don't necessarily like what they do in particular, but I just appreciate that they are doing it at all.

Chopped '34 coupe with fenders, running boards and hood. In black or primer grey. <---Dream car.

However, there's a whole heap I want! Based on different locations, conditions etc etc...some of them are just nasty but in the so nasty they're good way...For example the area I live in would be perfect for a R5 Maxiturbo...mmm, stupid car released to the public purely so it could compete in the (sadly-missed) Group B category...love it.

Thanks, Baron Von Zach:
I will confess a morbid, if minor fascination with this pic. I'm not sure that the explanation makes it any less creepy.
*update*
Look at the wiki entry- Just as I suspected, the guy was into cross dressing, sado masochism, humiliation...
Sort of explains the girly-bike.
very sad.

JWM

If my explanation would have made it less creepy, then it wouldn't have properly conveyed my opinion. Hey, you are talking to a man who finds clowns creepy and is scared of them. The pinnacle in creepiness for me is Ronald McDonald and apart from the ghastly stuff they call food there, he is the main reason why I never eat at McDonald's. For me, Perry's effort really isn't that much less creepy than Ronald McDonald. However, just being into cross-dressing, sado-maso, etc. alone wouldn't really make him a notable standout among the male population in Britain
