For those that don't study tubesets, and their mountain bike applications, that Columbus Off Road triple butted set is quite hard to find, and widely viewed as the best of the best in the era. Anything new that came out was compared to Columbus.
So I just acquired this Elian Minute bicycle from a fellow in Toronto yesterday. These were a limited edition bicycle made in Amsterdam, Holland. The guy I bought it from ordered it directly from Amsterdam. He told me it is one of one sent to Canada and has a special headbadge with a maple leaf on it. It features mini velo styling with a very uniquely styled cromoly steel frame, 2 speed sturmey archer rear hub, brooks saddle, stainless steel rims and spokes, 20 inch wheels. It sat unused for 5 years and was only ridden a few times. It's in mint condition and got it for next to nothing. I need to do some more research on it. I gave it a good cleaning and it rides very nicely.
