This is my starting point, a 56-57 Evans Colson Olympic.

I saved it from a landfill about two years ago and it's been sitting ever since.

The fork is bent pretty significantly, but that should be easy enough to fix. I'll get better current condition photos tomorrow after work

Traditional…….

Thought for sure you’d be unlimited

Congrats!!
We can still do two classes, right? If so, I'm going to do that one a little later. Still waiting on parts for that one, some of which are a few weeks out at the earliest

Most beautiful springer ever in my opinion. That bike is in excellent condition. Looking forward to this one.

Found some flyers from Evans, one is for the earlier model. This was definitely an expensive bike back in the day.

I also found a cleaner example on the CABE and shamelessly store the pics.

I'm not going to do a period correct, ground up restoration, I want to build this bike to look like it belongs in the future. It's going to have a heavy cyberpunk aesthetic. I'm also going to stretch it out just a little more like I've been doing for years now.

Love it! I really love what you did with Girty. I'm hoping to find one of those Evans forks someday, they're so cool.
can I vote now??
Haha, me too!
Some inspiration pics for my build. Got a great deal on some EL wire recently, so I'm going to use the tank on the bike for battery storageView attachment 263785View attachment 263786View attachment 263787View attachment 263788View attachment 263789View attachment 263790View attachment 263791View attachment 263792
Ok, now I'm loving this!

Here she is in the most current condition. I've been hitting every nut and bolt with PB Blaster to make sure disassembly goes easy. Going to strip her down to her bare bones for the next phase of the project. Most of the chrome is shot, but I want to see if the fenders will clean up even just a little
