Unearthed a set of juvenile hbars that i think fit the bike better than the wider ones i originally thought of using

gooseneck set forward

I wanted them set further back to mimic an indy car windshield / steering wheel
set way back of the car nose
but i think this neck is a bit long so i need to look for a shorter one

I think I might have something like that

I love those tires on the bike! Really looks good!

As for the stem, I have never liked the backward stems, they just look... well... backward to me. Just my opinion though.

What about a stem with almost no offset. I tried to find a picture and couldn't, but there are vintage stems that the quill bolt also tightens the handle bar clamp. They look cool, wish I had a picture of one for you to see.

Is this the type you mean...

This is the one on the girls Rapido Super Deluxe I got a while back that will be built up for my great-great-niece.

Glen.

The Renaissance Man,

Funny you should mention that I found one at a local swap meet last weekend
however it is to wide for the rattrap springer

So i was going to maybe try the middle version
but it also is too wide for the rattrap

the far right i had gotten of either a prewar elgin or snyder bucycle
I like how it the extension is low then kicks up
might work backwards because of that design feature
but need to loosen up the bolt to see how it looks on the bike

I checked out the prewar elgin gooseneck and it fit half way
I think it looks better but would like to see it all the way down
but kingfish might have the curved crossbar handlebars so i am leaving it this way for now

the other small issue is the fit of the fender with the smaller tires
this way fit best so far but still needs modifications
running the fender flipped i run into slightly more problems so i need to play around with it a bit

Maybe cut the fender off to a point by continuing the lines of the skirts kinda like @Terry66 's HotRodHiggins

The one on the left is closest to what I was referring to. Too bad it wouldn't fit the fork.

I did some hunting at a recent bicycle swap meet and and my local co-op to find something that will work for the bars / gooseneck
here is what i came across

I found a gooseneck that will fit the 24" rattrap (bottom)
but it turns out the bigger 26" rattrap has a slightly larger opening and will fit the other goosenecks I have
Now I have a couple of options
also I found the bars on the right I think where from a juvenile bike
They can be used with bmx style stems
since those also fit the 24" rattrap
