Oooo, hard choice...Satin or Matte?
use Penetrol or boiled linseed oil. Looks Matt, keeps out rust and an easy reapply with a rag yearly. Lots a rat bikers use it on this site. Good job on the clunk, looks fabulous and will be a ton of fun. I had a 40s Westfield clunker with a Bendix 2 speed that I raced in MB races. Retired it and it is now in a basket. Blew out the two speed, which had a terrible coaster brake. Frame wise it was a good ride but my 40s Schwinn DX is a little better. I found my late 30s CWC frame to be the worst basis for a Klunker.Oooo, hard choice...
Just not gloss and you should be fine!
I use bear traps on my clunkers, except my gravel grinder clunker where I use meat eaters. My gravel bike is a 50s style single speed Columbia tank bike with 700c wheels, 40mm monster cross tires, MAFAC can't brakes and mustache bars. I love this bike. Yours is really cool, love it.Shimano 600 Cranks - a nice fit!
And a set of Suntour Black Body XC_II Pedals.
Or perhaps these "Meat-Eaters"?!!?
Lookin good!! Those forks are awesome.
What bars are those??
