Got the new cross bar for the handlebars painted today. Still waiting on it to dry.
Used a wire wheel on a bench grinder to clean up the old copper pipe. Then primed it with the Rusty Oleum red primer and applied some texture and some rust colors. When dry, some mustard was applied in small doses and then the Dark Steel metallic was applied. The metal flakes or whatever comes out like glitter. When dry I will go over it with 0000 steel wool. That's what I did to the exhaust pipes and headers.
Some guy in a Rolls borrowed the last of my regular mustard, but fortunately we had a stash of MacMustard I could pick from.
Also mixed up a batch of vinegar, peroxide and salt to age the mounting hardware and some other bits that needed it.
