Bought a cheap Cyclops Cruiser to modify today, not bad for $119 brand new!

Then went to my favorite place, the scrap yard and picked up some space saver wheels for future projects, a 15" and a 17":

You just need a clown chopper to go with the diamond back. Unicycle are a pita to get apes on but make awesome choppers....
Seriously, the cranks on that bmx are great units, take tons of abuse.

Seem to be attracting the newer heavy weight BMX's of late, aside from the DiamondBack, I also have this KHS/FreeAgent and picked up this 2003 Haro F4 today, love getting them for $5!

Going to have my choice of parts for the BMX Minivelo project!

More dump shop finds this past week:

A GT Outpost Trail with triple triangle technology frame, a bit small for me to fit, but too good to pass up for $5, not sure what I am going to do with it yet:

Another heavy duty trick BMX, this one a MADD brand, mainly picked it up for the cranks, those BMX 3 piece cranks are awesome but expensive to buy new, much better to pay $5 for the whole bike...

Just remembered, I also picked up this mattress spring seat, first one I have come across in decent condition, I think the sun here in Australia must destroy them pretty quick, I believe this one came off an exercise bike which may explain its condition, just need to repair/replace two rivets and clean the paper that is stuck to the cover off and I have a good vintage seat that will probably find it's way on to my wife's bike when I get finished with it.

Great finds! I really like the GT. The seat looks the same as, or at least very similar to, those made for Schwinn here in the states back in the day.

Picked up a couple more BMX today, had to grab this "Joker" I think everyone knows by now how much I love them!

An unripped seat! How is that possible? Pretty sure I will swap it on to my BO#09 bike:

Absolutely! The parts I will take off them will be worth far more than that and then when I dump the leftovers I get paid for the scrap metals...

The wide but short bars on the No Fear bike I am thinking would suit a Klunker build just nicely, was looking at some the other day for $30 pretty similar...

Like you I never pass up free or inexpensive bikes because even if the frame is not wanted the parts are always welcome. On either side of the globe buying new parts for every bike gets really expensive really quickly.

A new fresh find, but not bicycle related... (yet)

We spent yesterday driving 2 1/2 hours each way to look at a car for my sister in law west of Melbourne, she was sick though so couldn't join us, but I ended up buying it and when she is feeling a bit better she can decide if she wants it, if she decides she doesn't like it then I will keep it and will have a lot of fun with it!

1981 Datsun Stanza (called a 1600/510 series 2 over there I believe) 1.6L auto, 90,000km on the clock (54,000 miles) and in amazingly good condition! I already have a 2L and 5 speed in the backyard and a dual side draft manifold and carburettor set up stashed away too, also came with some nice wheels, 4 of these:

That ugly original paint needs to go and the front end needs lowering but I can see some cool car potential there! Specially with some custom roof racks to hold a pair of cool bikes!

I wish it was the series 1 510, but they are not available on my budget!
Still a good car and the recipe is almost the same, just solid rear axle instead of irs...
The poor mans 510 I guess!
