"Sealed" bottom bracket. Thin piece of black plastic (at left in picture) on the non-drive side. LOL
OCD got to me, couldn't stand bolt head on one side and acorn on the other. Used a piece of 3/8" all-thread so I have lock nuts and acorns on both sides

Arguably one of the best production handlebars ever made for mountain bikes. Light as a feather, tough as nails. They were not made for very long due to the production cost.

That's just what I needed to see. I'm widening my forks and wondered if a long piece of allthread might work in place of the stock bolt.

At least the seat tube is good steel. Cheaper stuff for the rest shouldn't be a problem.

My first new bike had one like this. It was a Kent banana seat bike in kind of a metallic rust brown, maybe 1977 or so.
