I now many of these have been posted before but it's pretty cool to do and thought I would share.
Here are some photos of the acid etched badge.
Heat transferred to tin, should have used aluminum.
Etching in acid mixture:
After some trimming, painting and light sanding.
Finished badge on bike. Made from tin and etched with acid. Probably use a lighter metal like aluminum or copper next time. The etching wasn't as deep as I'd like it to be. Took a little trial and error but once you get it it turns out great. Not sure why I chose tin but it worked ok for now.
