Routed out the side so it'll hug the bar and squeeze in when I add the other side

For a quick second while I waited for the picture to load, I thought that clamp was a shifter you snuck into the tank somehow while I wasn't looking.
Now I need to figure out a bolt-action shifter for my next build.

How do plan to secure it in place? When I did a wooden tank I ended up using velcro loops around the tubes, screwed to the tank, that doubled as cable runs.

Might I suggest using sex screws through both panels to secure them together. We use them at work a lot to fasten door closers to thick wood doors.
