Yes, but I don't know if it could hd a Schwinn Continental or Varsity.

Fantastic book. If you’ve ever ridden a prewar Schwinn bike with its quirky geometry, its almost impossible to imagine how those blokes raced them downhill. Pure respect!

Seriously in a battle over this one.
Mom is not getting involved, but she definitely thinks he should get it. So that's trouble. While riding with him, I casually referred to it as his (I meant the one he was riding). More trouble.
"Dad, it is so much better than that old mountain bike (at least a decade newer than this BMX, cost nearly 4x as much). And it's getting too small for me"
"BUT I BOUGHT IT WITH MY BIRTHDAY MONEY!!"
"Grow up, Dad."

Mom on his side means you're done. Try to get any kind of deal for it, even though you have no real bargaining chips. Hopefully you can get something out of it. The grass mowed all summer? Extended nap hours?

Had to move Thundrrr Jr off his 20" Miele MTB to a 24. Scored this little guy today. Wheels aren't original, and it could use a cleanup and some consumables, but he's already riding it today

Now, Lil Thundrrr will move up to the Miele. More important, I'm allowed to buy bikes for me again. And I made a friend...

Guy bought a shop and moved it into his garage. The shop he bought was run by the same guy for over 50 years, so lots of exploration ahead for Matti when I don't have the littleuns with me. Nos, vintage, stacks of knowledge, a few ccms from the fifties, bikes galore!

Did somebody say nos scores? Grabbed a set of bars for the Build Off bike.

Wald, maybe? And then I saw this...

Still have the old shop sticker, never installed, don't even think the elastomers have been compressed!

Remember my fiasco with the Velo Orange bars I wanted for the Nishiki project? Forgotten. These were cheaper than the shipping.

Supposedly, they predate the Zoom flex stems. Independent articulation for each side. I'm going to have to do some research

Great bike! Little man should be able to abuse it proper!

Coworker took the parts needed for his project, and gave me the carcass to pick clean. Not sure how much will be useable, the chrome is completely trashed

Bearings everywhere feel like sand and gravel
The stem appears to be folded steel, not even a tube

At minimum, I'll get a fork and a few bb and headset bits.
*Ideas are already forming for the frame, maybe there's a bike in there somewhere
