So I really think I want a drainpipe style seat post ran horizontally and raising the mount an inch or two. But, I have an alternative idea, using a fork...

I also need to cut the threads off on the outside...
Hmm, just a bit of tweaking on the curve of this fork...

Curve the fork tips in and line them up with the seat holes.
A solid seat post will go into the fork and lines up with the seat mount too.
It's a bit tweaked now but not welded just sitting there...

Possible floating seat with no need for a sissy.
Spacey, cafe racerish too.

Some really interesting ideas on the seat mount Carl! I think a narrower fork (maybe a Schwinn collegiate) might be hidden under the seat a little better. Great ingenuity!!

A skateboard and fork combination might be a cool direction on the seat too.

Sorry about my last post I missed the last post you made with pics of the seat
No man all good, I'm not sure which way I'm going. I really want the seat to be a couple inches higher, so a z'ed post incorporating the gooseneck wedge is a definite maybe... o_O

That actually is a narrow fork I spread it some when I bent it for the mockup on Fruit Krate. Bending it some shouldn't be  too bad...

Cool idea too, ;) but I'm not a fan of those seats.

Really just waiting for ET to phone home for the final decision...

I like the idea of using the fork as a seat support. Must be the year of the floating nanner.

Yeah I believe you are gonna have to use your Z seat post idea. I tend to have the long leg issues.

Lookin great Carl, some cool ideas going on here.
I had the same prob last year,no matter that I still act like a kid,my legs and body say otherwise;) 20' bikes are a wee bit small...

I wanna know how you kept that front end on the ground?
Always ride it downhill? A wee bit small...
Have you seen my youngest on the Fruit Krate?

Yep, the banana is a little more forgiving than a regular seat. Shorter legs can sit up front. But even all the way in the back my knees were in my chin. I like the longer crank arms so I don't want to shorten those up unless I have to... I have a solid bar coming from Slowriderz. This should give me the lift and I hope match up with a tall sissy. Did I mention airfoils yet? o_O

Very hard, but I built it for a kid,so he handles it well.

Floating seat idea is super cool if you can work out how to get it higher.
Not gonna happen...
I originally envisioned a tall sissy with an airfoil, and I have a solid post coming that should put the seat where I want it.
The floating seat left out the airfoil and I want that seat up with a tall sissy stance too.

Yeah I know it's not a bike but it's what I've been doing, while I wait for parts I haven't even ordered yet to show up...

It's a minty fresh from a dark closet survivor from the 60's!

WOW on the guitar !! and short legs rock!! yup

Got the sissy bar ordered...
Finished my bit of welding, the owner of the buzzbox wanted it back.
So no more welding for me. I've been looking at rear tires.
(is there still issues at Jerald?)
I've also been checking out paint, I originally wanted a thick flake...
But satin metallic has caught my eye.
So I'm still trying to decide, if I want to paint it...
or "send it to paint" since I know a guy...
