well painted the frame today,sneak peek's soon,last time I used this type of paint was around 27-28 years ago and surprised I haven't used it until now,as I have a budget of pretty much zero dollars this was a big spend at $32 a can,I was thinking around $20 but not so,but worth it in the end,may paint the wheel the same too

I think Hammerite has changed a bit looks alot smoother than I recall,maybe just me,well I had envisioned a more rustic approach to this build but I seem to be heading towards a cleaner more painted build,now I am not sure wether to paint the rear wheel rim or not,never liked painting over good chrome,if I do paint the rim I think the chrome hub will look more stand outish,sounds like another mock up is in order,I also want to hand paint that heron badge but in non traditional colors....hhhuuummmm ?
bolted the seat on,didnt need a post or clamp just bolted through using the seat bolt straight to the seat tube,proberbly paint the big washers at the back,shifter is all hooked up ready for the wheel

thanx,I had that plate laying around for years just waiting for the right time to use it,I have a square on/off switch that I may put into it,maybe hook it up to a taillight or some LED's,will have to see
just scored 2 nana seats for $36,both velour,1 red 1 black so will see what they look like on it but proberbly stick with the sprint one on it
put on the chainguard and as I imagined the flat black clashes with the hammerite so will paint over the flat with hammerite but will keep the exhaust burn look at the back

thinking of doing a rear fender and I have a nice skinny old one for the front,a hard decision as I am always 50/50 about this issue
Might as well throw them on there and see how it looks. Maybe some sort of temp mount just to check them out?

decided to paint the chain guard after all
and decided to remove the original SA orange T handle and use these 2 alloy scooter pegs for a handle instead.....and do some photo editing again

so 2 steps forward 1 step back,painted the diamond plate,put on chain guard,had to bend it for crank arm clearance,put on back wheel and adjusted for clearence,my step back is the good chrome crank I put on is smaller so the chain interferes with the frame....grrrrr
Ran the gear cable housing through the guard
put on the name to make official (lol)

gave it a taste of the quik strip disk
couple of minutes later and its clean for paint
