Metrorat No.22 (MBBO.4 class 1)

So I am in for my second mbbo,this time as with the last its a raleigh,an old Metro 22 (22inch wheel) these came out around mid 70's they are a 10% larger model than the popular raleigh 20 first made in 72,I won't be going all out on this build like I did with Low Cert,it will be a reasonably quick build but will keep thinking about adding changing as I go along

swapping out the forks for the only forks I have with a long enough steerer which is my old 700c/27inch road bike forks,got some 20" wheels for it,banana seat/sissy
mild sand back of the frame,not sure with the mudguards and rack what to do yet,no idea with bars at this stage,think I will chuck stuff at it and see what looks good and what don't make the final cut

What a unique frame! I like it! She's got some patina. I like the weed growing out of the frame. You got your work cut out for ya. This should be a cool build!

original fork is of,newer cups in and new fork on

started rear end mockup,didnt like the first B seat so decided to go shaggy and liked it more,the mudguard was so bent and rusty at the bottom I had to slam it and point it in a new direction

I will prolly lower the guard to the wheel and tilt it back to match the rear even tho I like the gasser look,but 50/50 about it

It was on another build that got pieced out,I needed the sissy bar and couldn't be bothered to unbolt the seat so chucked it all on and liked it,its rock hard to sit on tho

Banana seats can be really bad if they don't have enough padding...
