micargi made by nirve?

I'm thinking he didn't understand your question. I've never heard that the two companies were connected, but it is totally possible that both brands use the same factory (factories?) to produce some of their frames. Nirve is HQ'd in Fountain Valley, CA while Micargi's offices are about 35 miles away in El Monte. It is also possible that both brands are owned by a larger conglomerate; the bike industry does make a small effort to keep its homogenization a l'il bit hush-hush. But, from what I can tell, Micargi and Nirve aren't affiliated.... and, if they are, they're not promoting that fact at this time.

One thing is for sure: Neither Nirve nor Micargi are manufacturing anything for anyone in either Fountain Valley or El Monte. Their products are contract-built in Asia, like the vast majority of current-production bicycles and components.

ya i figured that,thanks for all the info,the reason i asked is i ahave a chance to buy a mens and womans for low money,there complete bikes and if noting else there would be low cost parts for other builds

no prob im lookin at 2 to buy and now i think if there werent any markings on them they would look like nirves,i guess no one knows exactly how many bikes come out of the same factory over there,these 2 are local to me and need the normal goin over,wich is what i do in my retired time,get em mechanically right,detail,back on cl,make a small amunt for parts and my time

Right. Micargi makes some awesome looking bikes several of which are total copies or knockoffs of better bikes. As I understand it, the older the micargi the better as the newest ones are constructed the worst. I'm pretty sure my stretch is a micargi/dyno knockoff but I'm happy with it.

Macargi does manufacturer their own bikes. They also manufacturer bikes for shops such as chubby beach cruiser. They can even manufacturer you bikes with your name on them...
