came across this little gem on my local CL. and of course the paint scheme cAUGHT my eye
unfortunatley it not original paint. some one at some time repainted it.
it has some neat parts though. the springer, its a skiptooth but with S7 rims? and new departure hubs
the chainguard. and what are those, truss bars ?
my guess its a 1950s bike. the serial # starts w an F and is in the drop outs.
this is exactly how it looks like now.

lemme know what you guys think.....

Someone tried to make up a 24" Phantom. That's a 24" frame and springer. They had to bend the 26" truss rods to get them to fit. Also has the hard to find deluxe 24" guard. If it has S7's it's probably a middleweight frame.

In my humble opinion, you should find a black Schwinn rack, a fat leather covered seat, and some sort of light and you will have a not too bad looking 24" Phantom. Gary

thanks,B607

can u tell if the fenders are original schwinn?
did they ever make a 24" phantom or with this paint scheme from factory?

I remember seeing a 24" phantom with a rocket ray fender light on it instead of the cast light cover. Should be a looker, doesn't look like a bad bike right now either !
