...did it, did it!
Camera is dead, but I cut down an old Long stem and
made it fit in the metal housing in the steering wheel.
Ran the bolt head out the top, and it secures the wheel to the stem, and
the stem in the fork! :D :D

Re: Munster Koach

no before pics of stem but heres the piece I cut off

sorry for the crummy pics...camera is junk

Re: Munster Koach

what stops the steering wheel from moving independantly from the stem quill? do you have a key tab or a machine screw in the side?

Re: Munster Koach

I had to grind a bit off the OD of the stem piece to get it to fit in the wheel. I tapered it some and left it very snug and when I tightened the bolt the stem pc. drew into the metal sleeve in the steering wheel. Its pretty tight, but I may tack weld it alittle...

Re: Munster Koach

lokks good.
they're pretty had to come by these days, but it would look cool w/ an octagon steering wheel :D

Re: Munster Koach

hmm, a tapered jam fit could work excellently if done precisely. i tink if the taper in the steering wheel and the taper on the tube are the same degreee you could be ok

here are some better pics..
