Hi all, Ray here. Loving this forum! I'm 15 and have been into custom bikes for a long time now so I thought I had better build one of my own.
Being 15 with no job means I'm not exactly made of money so fter receiving my Bratz lowrider for 37 quid on ebay, I quickly set about making it my own! The plans were:
*Green banana seat with tall chrome sissy bar
*Black paint with green pin-stripes
*Black pedals and green grips
*General tidy up with the chrome and whitewalls
Then after a few changes to get the idea of what will look like:
I then began to strip it down for painting.
I used T-cut scratch remover to clean up the chrome and bathroom cleaner on the whitealls, it worked really well!
I painted the frame with my dad.I wanted the clips going to the back brake removed as it would spoil the look of the pin-striping. I will let the pics do the talking ;D
Gave them a quick skim of filler and gave it a wet and dry.
Next up was the pin-striping! I decided to go for white and green as one color would look to solid.
Then hit the whole bike with satin-black and clear lacquer.
Then started re-assembling the bike.
Put it all together into this!
I have been on holiday in America which supplied me with a few cool bits for the lowrider.
Managed to get an American dollar note bandanna for the frame and some dollar decals. I have fitted the casino dice, quite pleased with the result actually as they are a lot bigger than normal dice caps. I managed to find a cool chrome horn and fitted my green iron cross grips.
my latest mods are:
- Chrome mirrors
- J2O bottle on sissybar
- Iron cross on fender
- Dice
- Yellow front light, rear sissybar light
- Green lights under fenders, I will get some night pics soon
me posing with the bike
In fact I enjoyed building this one so much, I did it again with the addition of this!! It started out as a purple Bratz bike:
Hope you like them
