Well might be getting ahead after all, my nephew is buying my blazer and hopefully if all goes according to plan I'm building a rat rod wrecker I'm just going to forget 9c1 suspension for this year. found a project too good to pass up, a $500 stack of parts that add up to this

I'd try junk yards too, nothing against LMC. But you never know what you'll find in an old yard.

Yeah, I'm excited to do my first rat rod.

I can't fault you there, I've never built one but I keep looking for an old gmc truck or panel truck.

UPDATE... I got the other two new tires for the Battle Wagon and they look great but the front rims won't bolt on... The center bore needs opened up a few millimeters to clear the center hub. Next paycheck I get to drop $100 at the machine shop getting all 4 rims drilled out a bit to fit the front hubs... and of coarse the tires have to come off to fix the rims, then re-installed... re-balanced... all $$$. The rears fit fine but I want the ability to rotate my tires later down the road. The pains of "Built not Bought".:headbang:

Been there, done that... I had some nice XY 12 slot Ford GT rims back in the day, tried to fit them on to my later XC Falcon and they ran bigger bearings and bigger hub centres...

Luke.

Well the deal on the rat rod truck fell through, taxes didn't come soon enough and it was sold. I have my eyes on something else though. Waiting on the title for the blazer to come in, then trading up, selling the trade up, then buying the one I have my eye on. And now the hardest part of all... the waiting and praying it all goes like clockwork.

Well I finally got my new Impala grille for the wagon, just waiting to get it painted and ready to put on. Also found a nice blue Chevy bow tie badge for it to match the interior so having that ordered.

Ok so I couldn't wait and so I got a temporary badge from the junkyard just so I could install this grille. looks great.

Kinda thinking of shaving the hood ornament now...

Also forgot to mention I got the rims getting done as we speak should be ready Monday morning so getting the new rims on the front. I'm going to do the other 2 when it gets closer to time to rotate my tires.

I agree with shaving the ornament, it's a bit blockish in there.

Well I picked up my rims from the machine shop this morning, got the tires re-mounted and balanced, went home and installed them, and ran her through the car wash. It's been a long road with a few headaches along the way but it feels good to have phase 1 of my build finally finished.

Looking good!

I agree on shaving the badge, would make it flow much smoother!

I couldn't resist adding more low and some tint to the side on pic to keep you inspired!

keep your fingers crossed and say a little prayer, I might be getting another vehicle come payday. Something I've wanted for a long time. That's all I will say for now.
