Mystery Springer

I am helping a friend gather parts for a Colorflow restoration and he brought me this springer that came on his. Being mainly a CWC guy I am stumped. He swapped it out for a beehive I had for sale. He thought is was a Schwinn, but I know it is not. I know it is not some chickity china thing as it is too heavy and the metal is aged. The headtube length is approx. 7.5 inches. I am thinking of snagging this for myself.

Thanks, that was what my gut was telling me when I looked at the front plate on it but I just wasn't sure. Seems to be well built and the spring isn't sprung!
