Vaseline where i don't want the final coat to stick

Final coat you can see where the vaz was

Paint rubbing alcohol to remove the vaz this also took some the red paint off whoch is perfect for rust

Crustify with peroxide soaked paper towels

Forget what I said about saddle bags hiding the fender. Those are perfect in that position.
Great paint work too.

If the seat would look anything like the grips then yes, leather the seat!

If you do attach the stickers
I think you should try to give them the appearance that the letters are almost fadded away
except make it so the N,D and other N are less fadded

That is an awesome idea!!! Anyone have any experience in vintaging decals to make them look faded and old?

I think I have them almost done. just need to go buy some nuts & bolts and weld another support piece in place to distribute the weight and not have a single point of attachment.

Cool, another bike with saddlebags!!

The only thing I'd say after doing ours is make sure there's enough room for your foot to clear the front of the bags when you pedal. If I'm not careful I bark my heel on 'em.

finished the brackets and mounted the saddle bags in slammed mode. took the whole wreck for a ride and have some adjustments on the fender I have to do to get more chain clearence. time to run lights, paint brackets, maybe a red tail light, clean up the saddle bags(pin striping) and leather seat time maybe? Not sure.

Looks awesome! Just a tip... If you take some Duplicolor Metalcast red anodize paint to the lenses you can make them transparent red and use them as tail lights! :wink:

You are readin my mind! I was thinking of the smoke tint but I think the red would look better. thanks man! I didn't know the red anodized would work.

In limbo going back and forth between endings on this bike. I bought some pin striping materials and messed around with an original fender.
Practice sessions:

Executed(still need to do the ivory)

Undecided on the seat to keep it metal or do something similar to this:

Finished lights:

I am gonna paint the saddle bags and pin stripe but they may notake the cut.

Was that actually you first shot at pinstriping? Looks most excellent to me!!!!
What kinda pencil did you use for your layout markings?
