I tried that once on a chrome fender and it cracked it, my friend said i heated up to much. It did work on some of it except for the tip of the fender it just cracked.
 
well on old cars(anything pre70's) you could heat hail damage out with a torch (neutral flame go in slow toward the center of the ding and itll pop....no need for ice)...i wouldnt do it on bike fenders say after the 50's though(and use some that are garbage to practice on so you dont waste a set that could be saved on the learning curve :wink: )
 
Yeah I think I will start with the worst set first. We are in the middle of a heat wave so getting outside seems wrong when I'm paying big bucks to have my house 74. Its twinkies and dingdongs on the couch watching westerns. :p But I'm still formulating a plan in my head .
