I am 41 and grew up around bikers, biker parties, stock cars, dirt tracks, and many other things that came with rebel parents. I loved going to the races to see my father race his own stock cars or other racing such as top fuel drag racing and off road, both of which my father was crew chief/engine builder. He also built his own choppers. The neighborhood I grew up in had a few Hispanic families that periodically would have lowriders out front. I loved the look and was hooked ever since.
Now I am 41 with 3 kids and have gotten back into it a bit but with bikes. I rebuilt a kids bmx bike for my son that I rescued from the dump, but just redid it plain Jane so he could have something to ride since he is outgrowing his smaller bike. I also started gathering old bikes from the dump and from people I knew to make a low rider bike. Below are some pics of what I have done so far. I have a few more tweaks to make to it, mostly for comfort. I am not going to paint it for now, I like the old salvaged look it has.
If anyone has any questions of comments please leave them. I am glad I found this forum and hope to see everyone's creations and hope everyone is enjoying themselves with this, I know I am.
