I don't know if this has been around for awhile, but it looks pretty good to me. What impressed me was the 29" tires and gearing, 44 and 22.

What is up with the fenders, why are they so short? Looks like the front one was cut off the back one.

The MSRP price is a bit high for what your actually getting.

The "designer" wanted water to spray all over your back and into your crotch any time you rode through standing water or in the rain.... Cyclocross bike? Maybe the "typhoon" name means that it was made so that the wind would blow it down all the time?:giggle:

Whatever you like, go for it. I'd have to check this one out real close before thinking it was worth over $400.

Personally, I don't know why anyone buys a new "cruiser" style bike. They're usually new bikes trying to look like old bikes, and there are SO many good old bikes out there to buy cheaper and fix up, and that's so much more fun.

If you like this one, I've got a nice (albeit 26" not 29") modern Schwinn aluminum frame Hornet with a 3 speed coaster brake I'd sell for $200 in like new condition. It seems to me like a new $400 cruiser quickly becomes an almost new $200 cruiser that's not as cool as a $50 or $100 cruiser that you put another $100 or $200 into. BUT - that's all personal preference. Sometimes you just want something new. :)

But, yeah - fenders that short? Why bother? Maybe just to have the front one to keep water out of the bottom headset bearings?

If I ever see one of these as a $100 or cheaper CL bike, I'll be all over it. Great 29er BMX cruiser/Klunker material. Says it has nearly a 27" top bar...I don't see it in the picture, I think they are using funky math...but, if its anything 22"+, I'll be keeping an eye out :nerd:.
