New York vintage bike shop u can recommend

Hi,
I will to be in New York at the beginning of next month (1st time in the US!)
was wondering: could anyone recommend decent vintage bike shops where I could find some spares / vintage frame I could bring back to old Europe?

You probably think from looking at the site ,That every bike shop has Tons of old frames and parts laying around. Which couldnt be farther from the truth. Most have just new bikes for sale. It might be differant in New York ,but in Texas you have to hustle them on craigs list.... web sites ...Ebay ...and people in the midwestern states. If I was coming to the US and expected to return to France, with a supply of old frames, I would be getting in touch with some of our bike hoarding members , and make arrangements to buy a few while you are here. Oh and on a secondary note...Cowboys and Indians will be kinda scarce too. :roll:

When I was growing up in nyc there weren't any vintage bikeshops. You would almost never see a see a vintage balloon bike. I really don't know about anything there now. Williamsburg I hear has a quite a few bikeshops now. I would check craigslist when you are close to visiting and try to get something while you are here. Get a web based email set up so you can check emails from the apple store or something, or maybe you have a smart phone.

Well, I'll stop by and see of there are some stickers or something I can bring to you in Monson. will that suffice?

I went to High School with the owner - Chris Zane. He started in a hole in the wall store front and now has that metropolis of a shop. A feel good story for sure.
