So I inherited my grandads bike a few years ago, finally got around to getting it going again...
....then I found this site!!

Here's a pic of what I got to start..
(BTW, all I know is its a early 40's huffman / dayton. the Morrow hub has a 1941 date code, but thats all I know about it...any help decoding it further would be awesome!)

after getting the Itch to start the build, I found a bike for my wife on craigslist
(this on I could decode, 1941 Columbia)

So now I will be building His and Hers cruisers.....
I've built a few hotrods in my days....(chevelles, pickups, impalas, etc...)
this is my first attempt at a bike

I'm 6'6" so the standard configuration is a little tight for me.

first step was a laid back seat post (made from the original handle bars) I would like it to sit right on the fender, but it doesnt leave enough leg room like that. (and I scored some handlebars and a neck off craigslist for $10, will probably end up on the wifes bike)
BTW...this is a mock up, Not the finished product
