Why ? You gonna bring a racing bike setup for down hill garage racing ?
There's no prizes, just survivers. And we don't need the fuzz checking
our ride, sshhh. Now go back to work on that racer....Stevil

Shhhhhhh – my top secret downhill racer – just don’t tell anybody Steve, I don’t want any copycats:

Looks like I'm in. No funky clothes for me....as a matter a fact, no clothes at all. Just a good pair of sneakers for brakes and I think thats it. I hope they let me into the LOCAL otherwise I'll be eating cupcakes all day

I missed last year's ride because of a mtn bike event. Saturday is a work day for me. Keep me posted if you ever do a Sunday Cruise meet. I can do most Sundays that aren't NEMBA mtn bike events. Hope to see you guys soon! Ride on!

I am officially in!! baseball ends at 2:15, but you all have to wait for me to get there before you leave. I will be in text communication with Dan as to my progress. I have to drive back to house from Branford, CT and then to highway up to NoHo. Gonna bring the beer trailer too!

nice!

I cannot make it.

Not sure I've told you what's been keeping me so busy. It's not baseball this year.
I'll be at a robotics competition in Wolcott, CT with the team I mentor. It is a team out of Career High School in New Haven. Although my son is only in 7th grade he can be on the team since I mentor. These high school students were leery at first of a 7th grader joining, but he has pulled his weight and gained their respect. I've been spending a lot of time with these kids and it has been very rewarding for the soul and in hardware.
We won two District tournaments, came in 3rd in another, Came in second in the New England Regional which put us in the world championships in St. Louis where we did very well in our division. (finishing in the top 10 in our 100 team division. Which means we were in the top 40 in the entire world [400 teams at champs. ~10,000 teams in the world]) Then we won the CIAC Connecticut State Championship.
Now, in the off season, we have fun tournaments where the B and C team drivers get to beat on the robot and learn. It will be a blast because the kids that have been working on the 'bot get to drive and operate the controls.

If interested you can see at least one video here of us competing

We are team 558. We built the 'bot to be the mid field specialist in this year's challenge. Our motto is "truss and destroy" because we toss the ball over the truss and then defend the opposing team from scoring. We do this better than almost anyone.
Have fun on the ride.

sad that Joe will have the refreshments trailer, but there won't be a rider that can open it, dispense the beverages, and close and lock it without stopping. In the Tour de France, they call that person a domestique. Sad.

where's that old video of me pulling off this amazing feat?

Skip, can you do "the robot" now? You're probably a big hit at weddings.

I agree Ian, that is rather sad. You need to inform your better half that your services are required at this event.

But come to think of it, if Brian isn't going to be wearing clothes, I'm not sure I want to go either.
