I have bit my tongue for it bit,
and I now have a few things to say about The last build off.

here we go;

~ I would highly support all voters to look through The Build Threads,
or take the time to read them as they progress.( I think it's a shame that
a Builder like Cman doesn't get a vote after working his Forks the way he did, wiring up LED's in the Custom Sissy Bar, molding a head badge....)

~ A builder like Yustin gets 1 or 2 votes for a bike that had an incredible
Paint Job.The 2 tone work, with hand done Pin Stripes that no-one tackled

~ Scwinnspastics work and re-work of Mechanics and Brakes that where second to none..never mind The Design and Style that Reaked of Cool!!

~ I could go on and on about Other Builders Bikes that recieved way less recognision than they deserved.

I think that a weeks voting period in the future build off is a definate!!!
This will give people a chance to read the build threads,
and not just vote on The Pictures.

Raised by Robot's and I built great bikes,
but in my personal opinion they where not that good ,that
they deserved such a heavy weighted poll score.

The above is my personal opinion of the build,
and It's in no way a defence, attack, or compliance to The norm.
It is just that, an opinion!

I had Fun, learned a lot, and met some great people through PM"s
during the Build. It brought a lot of people that I would have otherwise,
never met.

And I am thankfull for that.

Thanks for listening,
peace,
Kev.

I agree 100 percent!!! My friend derek didnt get to vote. i know a bunch of ppl who didnt, I suggested longer vote time, But i guess it didnt matter what i thaught, I think all of us did a fantastic job building our bikes And we all deserve a pat on the back. Congradulations to all of us.

i also agree, the amount of work that went into each bike was incridible, i would have joined but i was a little late joining the forum, by the time i find the bike that i fell in love with there was no way i could do a good job on it. it basicly needs to be completly rebuilt and i felt it wouldnt do the contest good with me bringing in junk. i geuss my oppinon dosent mater since im new though

Hey Kev thanks for steppin out and saying that! I admire what you had to say here

I agree with you and I support what you say. There were many great bikes that got passed by. There have been many a car show that both my car and a few that I build were passed by for much of the same reasons.....it hurts? we have all seen it on TV with the BBO

the bike I had picked I felt had a vision and a great theme. I belive the builder captured that in his build and went through with it. No it did not have some cool details like the other bikes, but it just looked right and the detail that were done was also done right.

thanks Murray

I was just thinking the same thing: Perhaps everyone could have 3 or 5 votes to give away. It's a bit of a shame you had to choose between so many cool bikes with only one vote. But I dunno if it is at all possible to set up such a way of voting. Well, there's always a way, ofcourse... :D

Here is an idea...

Not sure if this is possible with the "Poll" option but if it is and there is a way to vote for First, Second and Third and then maybe have an "ingenuity award" for ?? what else, INGENUITY. This would allow multiple votes and get some people some recognition. I also agree with a weeks vote time. My .02

Yeah THERE IS A WAY! Have like 3 weeks of voting, each week is a round so like round 1 u get a vote
round 2 wich is week 2 another vote. And lets say u didnt get on or vote first 2 rounds u still get ur other 2 votes!

Yea.. That would work.

nO I look on the internet alot Lol the guys didnt like the adhd kid one i had they said it bugged them so i got this one, What is an avatar randomizer?

haha yeah.. i got a ton of good ones but there not "Appropriate" for the website

I wish it was nice out side i wanna build sumthing.

the thing about contests is thats what they are contests
i have been in 1000s from tattoo conventions and car shows to tractor shows and to a wet tshirt contest once ..... yes it was a bad night years ago haha but what i am saying is there has never been a perfect contest and never will be one
if you get one vote you choose who you thought was best for the contest.
it doesnt mean the other people wernt close or built something beautiful
only one team wins the super bowl every year butt it dont mean they were the best
Sanjaya Malakar is in the top 10 of american idol and he wouldnt be the top ten singer in a room full of drunks

i built a bike during the contest not to be voted on but the feedback i got tells me how well it was liked
and i am sure some of the ones who didnt place still feel they built one heck of a bike.
i too would make it last longer. a week
but once you make a million rules and stuff it takes the fun out of it
we arent building bikes for a million dollar prize we are building them along with friends for fun.

it remins me of grade school where all the kids get a ribbon so nobodys feelings get hurt well life is full of disappointment but along with that is alot of joy
no cents here cuz I'm broke so they are just my thoughts
jeff
ps rosemary found a new home on the west coast in a big collection
I didnt make any money on it (never my goal) but knowing its going to a home where it will be loved is better than any prize or vote

How about this!

instead of just picking a bike, why not make up a form that everybody can down load. On this form will have different catagories on it, like

Example.....

1 style 20 points
2 detail 20 points
3 complexity (sp) 30 ponits

something like that.

Then you add up your score card and then place your vote. Some may score high on detail when others may score high on style. It will be up to the builder to try and build a bike that can score well on on topics.

we as builders can pick the different catagories for each BBO

just an idea
:D :D

thanks Murray
