I always said that after the Blitzen Bike I'm going to do another fully chromed 26"er one day. The day has now arrived and the goal is to have the bike ready for a bike jumble next Saturday.

Starting point is a no-name chromed frame I got from a bankrupcy sell off a few ages ago. With it goes a Taiwan fork and the only halfways valuable components used will be a set of old Dunlop stainless wheels.

Here is the first mock-up:

And the first load of components to be used arrived today in the post:

Thanks guys!

A problem occurred though.

I intended to take the bike to a bike jumble this Saturday and sell it if I receive an appropriate offer to regain some much needed space and cash.
However, these plans have now been nixed by my lovely wife.

Quote: No way you are going to sell it. This is the coolest bike you've ever built. It reminds me of a scooter I had as a kid. I want it.
You can show it off at the jumble, but don't even think about coming home without it.

Nice bike I agree red and chrome really works! and a super cool wife ! :)

Thanks!
Well, it means I will have to somehow incorporate gears. Dérailleur is out of the question, because it would require brakes.
Three speed would still require a shifter cable.
What remains is Duomatic and they are rare as hens teeth in 36h.
