Another idea was to just weld extensions onto each side of the existing bb shell, run the trivativ adapter and the appropriate bb for a fat bike. That seems like a booty way to do it, but as long as it works properly in the end, I'm not too worried.

I think With that rear wheel I'm stuck with running a fat bike type of crank. But I really don't know. This is new to me. I'm open to ideas. I'm not really worried about finishing this bike for the build off, at least I got it started.
 
I've someone cut two spindles to make one long one.

Last nite I used a 4x4 and a piece of 4" pipe to create a little more tire clearance in the rear. It don't look bad for room. Still a pain to get the wheel out with the tire inflated. I am also seeing an issue with the style dropout that is on this frame, I don't think it's going to work with a disk and cassette, or whatever the term is. I might have to make new dropouts.
