I was on my way to work this morning and saw two bikes that looked like they were fished out of the local creek so naturally I stopped and asked about them, the guy said they were in the basement of an old service garage he bought and he was getting rid of them. I asked how much and he started at $40... Not bad but I mentioned that they are both girl's frames, in rough shape, and the better of the two is only a 24 inch so a tough sell, I told him I wasn't even interested in the 26 inch as it didn't roll and the rims are shot. He then goes to $10 for both so I reach in my pocket and see what I got. Exactly $10. I told him I'd give $5 for just the one but I had to get lunch at work so I couldn't spend the whole $10. He said he wouldn't so I started to drive off when I hear him yell so I did a u turn and went back. He says "I'll take $5 but you HAVE TO TAKE THEM BOTH" Needless to say the wagon came in handy.

Forgot to get a picture of it but the reflector on the rusty one says BIKE and is intact. That alone made it worth the $5.

Found a message under the dirt written in marker. $50 No less Don't ask. 90% off AND buy one get one free!!!

The one with the blue on it is about a 56 JC Higgins. It's the same bike I used for Chantilly lace.

I'm kinda thinking since it's a 24 inch frame I might try to swap the fork to a springer and stuff my 20x3's under it and just clear the patina. I'd have to massage the fenders a bit to make it fit but it would be sweet to get some fat meat under it.

Good eye, It is my daily driver 1991 Caprice wagon, Also just bought a 1991 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser wagon.

Bought not built but still pretty cool, I was out and about and saw this cool old huffy at an antique store and had to have it. Guy said someone on the west coast did the pinstripe but he couldn't remember who. Anyone recognize it???

I'll get some more pics when I figure out my phone better. (Spilled water on my laptop). So far on the bike I have swapped the seat, flipped the bars, put fatter whitewalls on it, and added a front rat trap rack I had laying around.
