Paperclip got me home!!

Rode this Monark to work yesterday.
The drive train is off of a $25 swap meet pre-war girl bike.

The skiptooth chain is not the best shape, has at least three Master-Links :roll:

I should know better then to ride it fast and hard, but I just can't help it. :mrgreen:

Not far from work I bent a link :shock:
Tried to get it back on well enough to ride home slow. Didn't work.

Good news in my bag I had a standard Master-Link but no plate. :shock: ( Don't ask :roll: :roll: )

But I did have a paperclip.
Half a standard Master-Link and a paper clip got me home. :mrgreen:

The bent link, I did have a skiptooth plate, but would not fit on the bent link.

Need to go put some Master-Links in my bag. :wink:

Once when my car was out of commission with a trans problem, I tried taking my old Garelli moped to work and about two blocks before I go there the chain snapped. While I was on my lunch break I found a nail to re-secure the broken link and rode it gently home that night.
