I got bored tonight and did some parts swapping. Im normally not one to strip parts off one old bike thats almost complete to put on another but since my son wants to rebuild a skiptooth with me as I rebuild my hawthorne skiptooth I decided to go ahead and swap them.
Girls schwinn had to lose some parts (for now)

Looks better on the boys bike anyways, not sure its right for the year.

Cool. Now the girls Schwinn has backbone. I'd swap the seat for an old boys seat with springs. My butt just don't fit on those things anymore. Gary

Period style seats are in the future for it and my hawthorne but right now Im out of any pre 70s seats. I used the last ones up on my build off bike. Im thinking of making a wood tank to go on it that looks like the tanks that came on it.

Looks good as it sits! A wooden tank would be a nice addition IMO...
I like how it looks too. With school starting soon it will probably stay like this for a while. He wants to redo it in matte blue and white ( his school colors)
