Just want to thank the person that voted for ROCK BOTTOM. When I last signed off I did not have any votes and was a little upset but realized that with so many other great bikes I should not expect too much from my first buildoff. But today I am very happy :lol: that I got at least one vote. That combined with all the great people on this site has me looking forward to the next one. Thanks again for the vote!!!

bebopblu, I just wanted to say that you built an amazing bike, especially given what you started with. But, and I feel I can say this because I know my bike suffers from the same type problem, it looks to be restored. I saved pictures of your bike on my computer, people did take notice of your amazing build, but when you have 3 votes to spread out amoung 106 bikes that all have something cool about them, I HAD to start looking for reasons to sort out my top 3. Unfortunately, yours got sorted out by me because it was too NICE!

Believe me, I would be proud to own your bike, as well as about 104 others!

There are a few builds that I think should be getting more, Paint it Black is definitely one of them. I keep expecting to see 3 or 4 bikes come charging through the tallys like a rhino. Schwindian for instance!!!

I'm really surprised (read "shocked") that Loco-Cycle is not getting more votes! Not that the top 10 don't deserve it, but this bike is soooo cool!

BTW...Somebody vote for the "no vote" bikes! I need to at least be in the running for the green glitter grips!!!

Buddy, I cried a little when I read this! I really feel honored to have gotten the votes I have, and with so many great bikes I keep expecting to get pushed out of the top ten...

Thanks for the recognition of my build.

I have said this on more than one instance after a BBO that my style of build doesn't exactly fit the RRB mold. I prefer to refer to my builds as Hot Rod bikes. Rarely will you see re-purposed everyday items into something cool to put on my builds. I also spend an inordinate amount of time searching out just the right vintage parts to combine to get the look I want. The only two things I really want out of the build are a great riding bike and for people to recognize the efforts of the build. I believe I have accomplished both. I don't need to have ton of votes, one simple post like this is worth 100 votes.

this surprises the heck out of me too. I could not wait for the voting to start so I could vote for it. It's proudly the mascot right now for NERRB (New England Rat Rod Bikes) on Facebook.

• I am very happy to have received 5 votes so far , and wish to thank those who voted for me . I realized my build wasn't the normal traditional vote getter , but it just sorta built itself in that direction . I wanted a more ride-able bike , I've built a couple flipped bar Boardtrackers , and was not comfortable riding them . The Cherry Bomber was built with a easy adjusting seat post for good leg room , and the short apes happened to fit the look , kinda Bobber Chopper .5 speeds will be nice also

I voted based on three criterias.
1. Bike that looks plain awesome to ride and own.
2. A bike that had a really nice original theme.
3. A bike that just looks like it had lots of time spent, sweat drenched, and tears dripped over it.

Something I just realized (even though it is a simple concept) is for a bike to get a vote it HAS to be considered a top 3 bike by someone. Every vote you get means those people think you have a bike that should be in THE TOP 3! It's actually very humbling to think about it...

Thats what I said. I didn't think mine was anywhere near the caliber of my top three or even top ten picks. But somebody thought it was in their top 3. Heck 3 people have thought it was in their top 3!!! Makes me wonder what their criteria was for voting?

Same here, bebopblu, your bike is sweet and I would be proud to own it. You built a high-quality, beautiful and classy bike. In fact, you made my top ten, but narrowing it down to 3 meant I had to eliminate 7 that I really wanted to vote for.

Thanks for the kind words. I understand what you are saying and appreciate the compliments. I am also having a tough time picking 3. I was just so tickled that I was on at least one persons top three and that one vote made me very happy because frankly Rock Bottom is not among my top 3 !!!! :lol:

It would be nice , maybe confusing , to have different categories & best such & such , aside from the overall voting . It's amazing some bikes have no votes , but best represent a style of bike , or building . And in the absence of that , it's important to recognise that all many builders want is a few votes , and don't expect to win , but rather just want some recognition , and since that's not possible , If you have not yet acknowledged a build you could not fit in your voting , comment on it in either the Build section , or finished .
