Welcome aboard!
That's a Huffman, prewar probably. Later on they were called Huffys. Check the serial number, it can be used to show the date of manufacture.
I don't know how to read them.Thank you for the info.Do you think it was used in war time.

Wow .That is realy nice.Dobyou know what the numbers stamped on the back of the Forks refere too.?I have a similar Huffman.
Serial #H257460. Rolled off the line not too long after yours. Has a 65 stamped on back of fork crown. I believe it is a 1945 civilian model.

This site has a lot of info on Military Huffmans and Columbias and how to ID them:

Nice I thought that it the number that came off the line.Im going to check that out more in detail.Thank you so much for the Info..I confess that I'm not a Huffman expert. I did google them pretty hard when I found mine. The H + 6 digit serial #s were used between 1945 and some time in 1947 if I understand correctly.
Where the fork stamp is concerned, I believe that one digit is the month and the other is the year. If that holds true, yours would be May 45. Mine would be June of 45.
I found this info on the Vintage American Bicycles website: https://vintageamericanbicycles.com/index.php/serial-number-lists/
The CABE is another good resource.
That's OK Thanks for all the info. It helps alot...Nice I thought that it the number that came off the line.Im going to check that out more in detail.Thank you so much for the Info..
