I've seen a few Monarks with those beehive springers, and honestly, I think they look better with a beehive than with either of Monark's springer forks. Looking forward to seeing yours come together!

I'll admit, I didn't think the "tin foil" was all that bad, but this looks waaaaay nicer!

Duplicolour gm gun metal grey and Nissan berry burgundy
Now chrome fenders, grey with burgundy stripe or no fenders
Chrome is always good.
Except when it isn't. I like the chrome fenders with color scheme.

Chrome would be kind of risky. Mixing metallics is tough to pull do. I'd try painted grey with the stripe.

When I redid my Royal Flyer I painted it silver and immediately painted over it great primer .
