I was looking into drive belts and came across this leather section belt. has anyone used this stuff on bikes (board track racers)? i know that some of the original bikes used section belt like this but i was wondering if any replicas have used it.

I have used a similar type of belt on industrial washing machines, very handy for set-ups with limited adjustments or to have as a spare while waiting for a replacement to come in.
It should be fine for a motorized bike, also handy for connecting around chainstays and the like as it can be split and rejoined easily, you will lose more power than you would with an equivalent chain set up though.
