i have a few old bicycle sprockets hanging on ym wall and am in the process of making a memorial for my mother in law who passed recently from an old star sprocket i have had hanging up for a long time. i will post pics soon as i can get one this is the sprocket i am going to use it fits because her last name was starlin so it works perfectly i feel old bicycles make excellent décor

I saved it, also. I've come across a few different chairs made from bike parts, but this is my favorite so far. I may build something like this. I would use the wheels, frames, and fenders, but I don't have that many racks, so I would probably just use wood planks or something.

Made a desk and shelves for my home office from a re-purposed Bowling alley lane, I think I paid 75 bucks for 17 feet. The leg is a C130 propeller blade cut down to 28 inches (guess I need a better photo of the prop leg). I also have a 1940's military aircraft seat I'll be converting as my desk chair (future project).

Saw this on my local Craigslist and thought I'd share, would make an awesome shop light especially with a girl's frame maybe upside-down for extra clearance underneath. Run the wiring through the frame. Thinking of making one.

That's actually a great idea, the right girls frame would flow nicely.

Our front livingroom has been made over into a bar/game room, and we're going for an industrial look. With that in mind, I made a new pipe base for the mini-pool table. It came out great, and I'll be doing something similar for the dining/bistro table.

Here's one for those of you with excess headlights and 59 caddy taillights.

Rebuilt this gutted early 60s Magnavox radio cabinet that was being thrown out after the neighbor passed.

Since it was meant to stand against a wall, it just had a plain plywood back and I wanted it to be able to stand in the center of a room, so I replicated the front on the back (substituting stainless vents for the grill cloth). The original legs were pretty beat, so I replaced them and reinforced the mounting points, new grill cloth, bluetooth receiver with hidden remote IR, and four speakers.

Got this mid-sixties bedroom set for free. It's a solid piece made with real wood (and not pine, either), all joints dovetailed, but it was an ugly brown paint (!) over a thick mahogany veneer with a 3-panel door in the center that had a routed pattern that I hated, a damaged rear corner, and some broken wood handles. The veneer was trashed, so I decided to paint it. I rebuilt the corner, made new center doors in a squared kind of yin yang to allow the two handles to align vertically, echoing boat cleats and to contrast the horizontal hardware on the other drawers. The red was just a contrast stripe to highlight the curved bottom that had hid in the original dark color and the shadow cast by the piece and it continues the vague nautical inspiration by mimicking red bottom paint, which is reproduced with the bed. I did this when we moved into this house twelve years ago and, now that we're moving soon, I figure I might as well get some pictures.

And here are the closet door/display shelving I made to replace the beat hollow core junk that was there originally. They only stick proud of the wall a couple inches, but the depth continues in the thickness of the wall, so that there's a decent amount of shelving in what would otherwise be wasted space. They roll on heavy duty casters, so they're strong enough that I could probably climb them.
