Der Baron und Ze Hound

Taped off the tires and spray painted the spokes silver. Then I just used a black sharpie to "paint" the tires. I like built in tire repair on one of the wheels.

The Baron plane kit had these German decals from a regular Fokker model. So I used them on the wings, I like how the 541/18 kinda mimics the drag class numbers you see at the strip or Bonneville.

Snoopy's HoppedUp Camel needed some dressing too, so first I used the sharpie to add some strafing bullet holes like you would see in his dogfight scenes. But it needed something more. I decided since he is man's best friend, he would have the same gang markings as his owner, Charlie.

Here are my final pictures of the bash up. Messerschmidt BF 109 is the most produced fighter of all time, the most produced single seat airplane and the third overall for most produced aircraft. Daimler-Benz V 12 with 1,150 hp, top speed 354 mpg and a service celling of 36,000 feet. It was not quite as maneuverable as the Spitfire but nothing could touch it over 20,000 feet. It was used in every WWII theater where the Germans used planes. Man, that must have been cold almost a mile and a half higher than Mt. Everest. Rommel’s Rod is a fantasy mobile. Pretend the white stuff is the burning sands of North Africa. Bad picture but it’s snowing and blowing and there is poor light anyway this time of year.

Christmas stuff, you mean gifts? I use money in an envelope. Good for the environment as it saves the ecological disaster of gift wrapping. I ask for no gifts as I need nothing, I have too much stuff now. Bah, humbug
