Okay, I know I shouldn't do this, but I'm going to anyway. Here are the bikes that I voted for in this year's build off.

These particular bikes seemed to strike a chord with me and I thought yall might be interested to see the bikes I chose. It doesn't mean I like anyone better than anyone else or that any of these people are my buddies or anything. I just went through and picked the bikes I liked the best.

Like everyone has said many times before...it was a VERY TOUGH VOTE to make this year and there are many more I could have added to my list of favorites, but there were only 6 votes.

Great minds think alike. Tuco Benedicto Pacifico Juan Maria Ramirez was high on my list as well as Southern flyer but got beat out by a few bikes that I felt were just a bit more original, painted a bit brighter, and that looked like something I'd ride more. Lady Jivaro and Lucky 7 both got my votes. Big Jim got killed in my voting process because I went by my point system and originality was off the chart but practicality, and fit and finish with the lack of paint really killed it. Awesome bike but I think with some paint and some subtle tweaks it could have been a real show stopper. I'm a tough critic so don't take it to heart just my opinion.

those two bikes were not original enough?? That Tuco bike had barb wire fender braces and a skull in the headlight..pretty original and Southern Flyer used a toilet hinge for a fork..original :?:

Very original but that was only one point I looked at. I went with a point system to help me decide like they do at car shows awarding 1-10 points in each of 5 categories:

1. Fit and finish: quality of paint work, how all the parts fit together, craftsmanship, the little devils in the details

2. Originality: Did they do something I have never seen before and how well did they pulled it off

3. Overall flow: How the bike looks together, does anything look odd or out of place, do the parts work together

4. Form and function: Does it look comfortable, practical enough to be a daily ride, stuff to snag yourself on

5. How likely I would be to ride it every day: pretty self explanatory...This was the tie breaker between like 5 bikes in anything goes and like 10 in traditional.

My 3 traditional votes went to 3 Star Delusion which was way over the top with fins and fat wheels, Crusty Racer which nailed the look he was going for and the patina was spot on perfect, and Mooneyes shop bike which had really nice details like the first tuck and roll tank I have ever seen and pinstripe underneath the seat where it wouldn't be seen anyway but the attention to detail got him some points. Then as far as Anything goes I went with Lady Jivaro (Coolest ladies bike I have ever seen), Lucky 7 (Awesome bike and well executed), and Skeletor (Which I'd ride the wheels off) scored my 3rd vote since Devist8er didn't make the deadline.

ALL the bikes were awesome and deserved votes but I only got 6 votes to use.
