. "....on a sunny, Sunday afternoon..". .Rode the Shelby Woody out for a short 5 mile ride for ice cream on this beautiful, 80° low humidity, Sunday afternoon.
Def one of the best ridin g rat bikes I've ever built. At least tied for first with a couple others.

there should be a sign: "Wood Parking Only".

The OddJob Award plates are ready to go! Now the problem is sifting through all the highly competitive builds this year to select 5 that will receive this award for the most RaT-isfying Rat Rods, according to my own RaT-ionalizations and RaT-ing system. Each award comes with a Certificate of Autho-RaT-zation along with the magnet backed award.

This year's OddJob Award is a nod to the RaTs GaSs build and it's Duplicolor Metalcast spectraflame paint job. Right down to the Rat Fink neon green lettering!

So RaTs GaSs got a little make-over this morning. It wad a beautiful day to 'wrench' in the BACK40, so I made a couple mods just to satisfy my curiosity.

I pulled the front fender, one hex bolt in the fork crown, two snips of the stainless steel zip ties.round the fork legs.
Then I grabbed my Thickslick 26 x 2.2 and mounted it to a n aluminum black spokes on black rim/hub wheel, and slapped it in there.

Two things. First, it really cleaned up the front end, looks wise. Has kind of a 'tougher' look I'd say. Second, this fat slick with twice the air capacity and additional circumference, rides way smoother than the 24 x 1.5 wheel/tire combo.

Found some of my favorite photo opp spots downtown along the river. I should say, The River; Mississippi, that is.

Great mods. The slick kinda jacked it up a little too. Very much a Sleazy Rider vibe in this configuration. This version looks great, but I am glad you are "not changing the gasser status of the gasser ratus " for BO15. You can always change it back to this afterwards for the ridability. Great pics.

It truly was the Year of the RaT ! We had a ton of new builders jump into the mix for RRB BO #15. And the variety and overall quality of builds was next level! Thanks to all for letting me hang out with you for the summer once again and build some kool bikes. RaT oN~!
