i've been looking for one of those to restore for a few years now. good score!!

Early 1960’s Stingray made from 56 Schwinn American 20” canti frame. This bike was advertised as Stingray on offerup. When I saw in in person I was little confused. Decals not stingray, but almost everything on bike stingray except back wheel.( new departure) and pedals, stem.

So knew It was earlier schwinn someone had converted. When I researched serial it was ‘56. Got from guy who bought from. Buddy original owner.

I've no idea what the frame is; the eBay seller had it misidentified, but it built up into a nice and comfortable riding single speed.

that's a sweet double bar. If you have a serial number on that one, we can probably pin down the exact year, I've got a chart.

The number actually works out to 37 it has a b second letter but it's styled closer to the 50s

Yeah that throws the whole chart into doubt, because it's obviously early to mid fifties... Dang. Cool bike either way

It was also made in Weston ont the dates I've gotten range from 45 to really early 50s its originally fits 28 inch balloon tires that I've been on the hunt for. Dutch size are the closest I've found ye
